About

meI am a Computer Science & Engineering graduate (Bachelor of Science) from University of Toledo. I work full-time developing Windows applications using .NET. I also do some side development in PHP on some other projects in addition to my personal coding adventures. Contrary to the first three sentences, there is more to me than bits and bytes.

Other hobbies include Electronics, Cars, and gaming. I have been a PC gamer all of my life, but a few years ago I broke down and bought an XBOX 360, thanks to a good friend and Gears of War. I still blame both of them for corrupting my pristine computer gamer ways. I am a big fan of Halo 3, even if I am not really that great at it. On the PC I am a fan of the Call of Duty series and until recently I was a WoW player (not addict! I actually didn’t play the last two months of my subscription, live is busy). I am going to go back to it if I ever get more time.

I have also recently started to really get into Photography and Videography. I have a Sony HDR-SR12 HDD Hi-Def Hard Drive (120 GB) video camera and a Canon Rebel XSi DSLR. Both have provided stunning results from my other obsession, Air Shows. I love flying and watching things fly. I don’t currently have a pilot’s license, but I will some day. My graduation present from my Father was a ride on a B-17G Flying Fortress, the “Yankee Lady”. It was awesome, and totally worth doing. I suggest you look into it.

My daily driver is a 2006 Whitewater Pearl Mica Mazdaspeed6. I have a few upgrades and I estimate the bhp to be somewhere around 305 or so. Not bad for a little 4-banger that can get 27-30 mpg on the highway (it isn’t easy, but I can do it!). I am currently shopping for a sport bike. I haven’t for sure made up my mind. I have the “wife’s” blessing, but she prefers that I wait till AFTER the wedding (I have no idea why ::wink::).

Speaking of, I am engaged to the most amazing woman I have known in my life. She has opened my eyes to thinks that I was (for a time) actively trying to keep them closed to. I know that she will make a great partner in this game of life and someday, will be an excellent mother. She has to be a truly special person to even think putting up with me for the rest of her life is possible.

Star Wars is the single greatest Saga ever told. I don’t care what you think, it is! Although, you have to experience the movies (at least the first time) in the correct order: 4, 5, 6 followed by 1, 2, and finally 3. It just isn’t the “same” otherwise. My children will see it correctly when they come around. I have read pretty close to 75% or better of all the Star Wars books in print, and several of those I have read 2 and 3+ times. I have a lot of work to do to catch up in the prequel era. The Ender’s Saga series by Orson Scott Card stole some of my attention for a while (I have read all 8 books).

As far as sports go, I started playing soccer in Elementary school and played through High School and a year or so after. I also enjoy Golf, Bowling, and Billiards. I might not be really good at any of them but they are fun.

I think that covers just about everything that I need to. I am sure more about me can be gleaned from this website here.
